Charnette Labs builds websites, mobile apps and push notification systems exclusively for hotels, safari lodges, tour operators and DMCs. We speak your language — because we've lived in your world.
Most tech agencies need educating about your world. We don't. Charnette Labs was founded by a former travel industry professional with years of experience in luxury safari and travel sales — and we built RepBud, the AI-powered CRM designed specifically for the travel trade.
When you work with us, you're not spending time explaining rate seasons, FAM trips, net rates or why a lodge in Laikipia needs a website that loads fast on a satellite connection in Kenya. We already know.
Former travel trade professional. Built RepBud for the industry. We've worked in B2B and B2C travel — you won't spend time explaining your business to us.
Your guests judge you before they arrive. A fast, mobile-first website that loads in under 2 seconds anywhere in the world turns browsers into bookers.
We don't build and disappear. We host, maintain and grow with you. One monthly fee, direct access to the team who built it. No call centres.
Everything designed with tourism in mind — not adapted from something else.
Beautiful, fast, mobile-first websites that turn visitors into bookings. Built on Cloudflare's global network — under 2 seconds load time anywhere in the world.
From guest experience apps to internal staff tools — custom mobile applications that make your operation smoother and your guests happier.
Email newsletters have a 20% open rate on a good day. Push notifications hit 90%+. We build systems that reach your guests directly — on their lock screen, right now.
Everything we build, we look after. Monthly hosting, security, updates and a direct line to us. No tickets, no bots, no waiting. Your site stays live so you stay focused.
We work exclusively with tourism and travel businesses. Everything we build is informed by how your industry actually operates.
The average marketing email open rate in travel is 18–22%. That means 8 out of 10 people never read your message.

Graeme Watson has spent over 15 years at the heart of the global tourism industry. Starting in London as a franchise owner promoting South Africa to the UK travel trade, he moved to Los Angeles where he worked as an Africa destination specialist for Cox & Kings and SITA World Tours — managing FIT itineraries, costing programmes and representing African product to the US market.
Returning to South Africa, he spent seven years as Key Account Sales Manager at Thompsons Africa — one of the country's leading inbound operators — managing approximately $15 million worth of accounts across the USA, UK and Ireland. He represented the business at WTM London, INDABA and USTOA, and was actively involved in multi-million rand tender negotiations and global ground handling agreements.
He served on the Board of Directors of SATSA (Southern Africa Tourism Services Association) and as KZN Chapter Chair — giving him deep relationships across Africa's DMC and lodge landscape, and a front-row seat to the challenges tourism businesses face in reaching the UK market.
"I built RepBud because I needed it myself. I built Charnette Labs because every tourism business I knew needed the same thing — technology that actually understands their world."
— Graeme WatsonIn 2021 he founded Kusa Connect — a UK-based tourism representation company — and began building the digital tools he wished had existed throughout his career. RepBud, the AI-powered CRM for travel industry sales professionals, was first. Charnette Labs followed: a technology studio dedicated exclusively to building websites, apps and push notification systems for the tourism businesses he knows and loves.
A holder of a BA Degree in Media and Communications, a wildlife photographer with a Canon EOS R7, a podcast host, and a traveller of over 65 countries — Graeme brings something no generic tech agency can offer: he has sat across the table from your clients, sold your destinations, and understood your margins.
